We are delighted to feature another wide-ranging, jam packed programme with around 40 top quality bands in the main programme. We are thrilled to welcome debut performances by legends like Andy Sheppard and Elaine Delmar alongside rising newcomers like The Jazz Defenders, Emily Masser and Sultan Stevenson.
Once again our line-up features Jazz Fusion with Hejira and BD Lenz, straight ahead post-Bop with Simon Spillett and Pete Long, contemporary Jazz with Kevin Figes’ You Are Here, Ribbons and The Jon Lloyd Quartet. And we have a great New Orleans programme with The Adrian Cox Trio, Ian Bateman’s tribute to Louis Armstrong and Rainey’s Revue.
We will have free performances in The Jazz Village plus the Festival Fringe and, we hope lots of sunshine.
Scroll down for the full Festival programme and we hope to see you in July!
“I just wanted to say a huge thanks for the fantastic Jazz festival. Myself and my 18yr old son attended all weekend. We experienced some absolutely amazing jazz, almost back to back music all weekend! Myself very new to Jazz and my son only really got into it about a year ago. My favourite band was Yetii and my son's was Alex Webb Quintet. Thanks once again.”
“We had the very best time, met amazing people including wonderful children and their families and enjoyed the beautiful, no... stunning setting plus, the luxury of enjoying your jazz programming during the evening too."
“Your planning was second to none and no one in my party had any doubt as to what to expect, what was available and how to get there, brilliant!“
“Congratulations to you and your amazing team! They were really helpful and supportive - please pass on my thanks. Great work and well done!”
“Thanks again for a wonderful festival. I was particularly impressed by Jonathan Fashole-Luke and his Trio. A really tight band and novel approach to his instrument.”
“Congratulations on putting on such an excellent festival. Dave and I enjoyed watching a variety of outstanding musicians. Liane Carroll was absolutely brilliant and definitely better than watching the football!”
“It looked like a great festival to me. I liked the two marquees in the field as it gave you more choice of what to see without having to walk any distance. Also the children’s entertainment area looked like a nice addition and would have encouraged families with small children to visit. The challenge of attracting a younger audience is an interesting one with the majority of the jazz audience obviously older.”
