Jazz Train and Dance

Tickets for the Jazz Train and Dance have sold out We are really sorry if you want to come and cannot get tickets but we have limits both on the Train and in the Hall.

 

Saturday Programme Change

For health reasons Philip Clouts has sadly had to withdraw from the Festival. His Quartet will be replaced by the excellent Southampton-based J Fashole-Luke Trio.  You won’t be disappointed.

 

Jazz Films added to the Friday programme

Working in partnership with Purbeck Film Festival and The Mowlem Theatre we have booked two films for the Friday evening;  The Disney/Pixar animated film ‘Soul’ at 5pm which tells the story of a musicians whose body and soul have become separated (it never happened to Coleman Hawkins). And at 8pm we are screening the Miles Davis bio-pic ‘The Birth Of The Cool’Admission is free to Festival ticket holders.

 

With added Strings – A First For Swanage

Jo Harrop’s performance of ‘The Heart Wants’ on Sunday afternoon will have the added attraction of The Kate Keats String Quartet.  A String Quartet is a first for Swanage Jazz Festival.

 

Gig Guide Festival

The Festival Gig Guide listing who is performing where and when is nearly ready and will be published very soon.
